Founder, former professional footballer, and operator across six industries. I bet hard on AI, build my own ventures, and put in the open how a dream becomes a system that actually carries it.

Where I operate

Six surfaces.
One operating system.

Different industries on the surface. Same compounding pattern underneath.

E-commerce & Brand
I
Building from zero

E-commerce & Brand

Own brand built ground-up, held through 25+ acquisition offers.

Artificial Intelligence
II
The leverage of the decade

Artificial Intelligence

Operating it daily, researching it academically, betting on it long.

Professional Sport
III
Where the system was forged

Professional Sport

Years on the pitch in Belgium. The original lab for everything that came after.

Real Estate
IV
Long-horizon assets

Real Estate

Patient capital, family roots, the longest compounding game I play.

Research
V
Theory that ships

Research

PhD research on transformational leadership and human collaboration with AI. Where the next decade is being decided.

Digital Media
VI
Where reach is built

Digital Media

Distribution as its own discipline. Talent nobody sees never compounds, so the work gets built in the open.

The short version

Twenty years,
one repeating lesson.

Christoph K.
Founder · Researcher

Founder of my own e-commerce brand, built from zero and held through 25+ acquisition offers. Operator across e-commerce, AI, real estate, digital media, and research. Former professional footballer in Belgium. PhD researcher at ICO NIDA on transformational leadership and human collaboration with AI.

What I learned across all of it is the same thing in every chapter. The bottleneck is almost never talent. It is the system that should have been carrying the talent. That is what I build now. For my own ventures, my research, my writing — and the dreams that refuse to leave.

Make the dream a schedule. Build the system the schedule is asking for. Run the system on the bad days too.

The operating principle
What I bet on

Five beliefs
I build my life on.

Twenty years across professional sport, academic research, and building businesses taught me a handful of things that simply do not break. These are the ones I bet my next decade on.

I.

AI is the leverage of this decade.

Anyone not operating it daily is opting out of the next ten years. I bet hard, build daily, and research it academically.

II.

Systems beat motivation.

Discipline is not a personality trait. It is a system small enough you can run it on a bad day. Build the system first, motivation follows.

III.

Talent without distribution dies in silence.

The brilliant product, the elite athlete, the sharp thesis. None of it matters if the eye that needs to see it never does.

IV.

One industry is a feature. Six is a moat.

Pattern recognition compounds across categories. The lessons from sport translate to e-commerce. The lessons from research translate to building.

V.

Dream first, design second.

Most people downsize the dream to fit the system they already have. The opposite is the move: size the system to fit the dream that refuses to leave you.

The Journey

From a German town to a global stage, by way of everything in between.

No straight line, and that is the point. Each chapter rewired what I thought possible, and put me in the room with the next one.

    A Baltic-coast boy with a big motor

Born and raised in Ostseebad Kühlungsborn on the German Baltic coast. Early obsession with sport, structure, and getting better one repetition at a time.

  2. Professional footballer
    02Athletic Years
    Belgium
    Chapter 2 of 5

    Professional footballer

Earned a contract as a professional footballer in Belgium. Learned what it means to perform under pressure and treat craft like religion.

  3. Three continents. Three completely different right answers.

    Chapter 3 of 5

Three continents. Three completely different right answers.

Years across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Different academic cultures, different frameworks, the same questions answered in completely opposite ways. You stop looking for the right answer and start asking whose right answer. That rewired me for life.

  4. Founder of an e-commerce brand. Operator across six industries.

    Chapter 4 of 5

Founder of an e-commerce brand. Operator across six industries.

Built my own e-commerce brand from zero, refused 25+ acquisition offers. Today I operate across e-commerce, AI, sport, real estate, digital media, and research. Different surfaces, one compounding system underneath.

  5. Building the systems dreams are waiting for

    Today
    Chapter 5 of 5

Building the systems dreams are waiting for

Most people don't fail because they lack ambition. They fail because the system that would carry their ambition was never built. That is what I work on now.

Three Continents

Three continents,
three lenses.

Three continents lived in, built in, learned in. Each one rewires what you think possible. You stop asking "what is the right answer" and start asking "whose right answer."

Germany · Austria · Belgium
01
Europe

Germany · Austria · Belgium

Where it started. Years lived across three European countries built the foundation: the system, the discipline, the first business instincts.

Where the lens widened. Different culture, different way of looking at the same problem.

United States

Where it broadened. Network density, ambition density, the deepest exposure to applied research.

The Mission

The system most people are missing.

After two decades across professional sport, academic research, and operating businesses on three continents, the same pattern keeps showing up.

Talent isn't the bottleneck. Ambition isn't the bottleneck. The bottleneck is almost always the same:

There is no system carrying the dream forward.

A footballer with talent and no training system never breaks through. A founder with a product and no distribution stays invisible. A thesis with no writing system never ships.

So I build systems. For my own ventures, my research, my writing. Then I put in the open how they work, so the dream stops being a wish and starts being a schedule. That is the only thing I do.

What I'm building

Three layers,
one system.

Operator, researcher, writer. Different surfaces, one compounding engine underneath.

01

Operator

I build my own ventures from zero across e-commerce, AI, real estate, and digital media. One brand grew from nothing to 25+ acquisition offers, all declined. Hands on the machine, not on a scoreboard.

Research

A PhD on transformational leadership and human-AI collaboration at ICO NIDA. Two decades of pro sport, business, and applied research feeding one question: how do people and systems actually compound.

Everything the operating and the research keep teaching me gets written down and published openly. Not advice for sale. Notes from the work, in case they save someone else a decade.

Notes & Writing

Field notes from
building, betting, believing.

Short essays on AI as leverage, operator systems, and what twenty years across sport, business, and research keep teaching me.

AI Operating01

Why most AI integration fails at the operating layer, not the model layer.

Everyone is hunting for the better model. The bottleneck is somewhere else entirely — and it is dramatically more boring than people want to admit.

Founder Notes02

I built an e-commerce brand and refused 25+ acquisition offers. Here is why.

Selling looked rational on paper. Holding looked irrational. The math was clean, the gut was loud, and the gut had a longer memory than the spreadsheet.

Systems Thinking03

Talent is not the bottleneck. The system that should carry it is.

Twenty years across professional sport, academic research, and business say the same thing in different accents. The pattern is so consistent it feels unfair.
